How to overcome bitbucket login problem (Windows)

Bitbucket sometimes gives an error for credentials when cloning.

  1. Clic on the wheel near your profile icon
  2. Select personal Bitbucket settings
  3. Under personal Bitbucket settings, find App passwords
  4. Click Create app password
  5. Specify Label (could use app name) and Permissions
  6. Press Create
  7. Suggested saving the generated password in a txt file
  8. Use the generated password if Bitbucket asks for a password (for example when pulling).
